Ben P. Biggs builds under the name of Sapphire Valley Custom Homes SVCH and is a NC Licensed General Contractor. 

Ben is proud to be a 3rd generation trim carpenter.  At the tender age of nine, Ben's grandfather taught him how to install doors and to do basic carpentry work.  By 1990, Ben was overseeing the construction of over 150 homes for John Wieland Homes in Atlanta, Georgia.  In 1996, Ben went into business for himself, building custom homes, and developing both subdivisions and apartment buildings.

After relocating to the gorgeous mountains of Western North Carolina in 2002, we recognized that there was a need for affordable custom homes.  Thus the founding of Sapphire Valley  Custom Homes.  Although most of SVCH projects are 2,500 square feet with prices under $350K, we have done projects from 1,200 square feet up to 10,000 square feet ranging in price from $219K to over $2 million.

Because of the outstanding craftsmanship of our homes and affordable building costs, many of our homeowners have moved into their new homes with thousands of dollars in equity.  A recent homeowner made $100K from the sale of his home after owning it just over a year!  We are proud to be the builders of his home on a larger piece of property.
